Are you an experienced sustainable development professional that would like to faciliate workshops about community-led development and research? HUB iLab is looking for a Community-Centered Design & Research Lead Instructor to lead community-centered design workshops in the Yohualichan indigenous community in Mexico.
Over half of IDDS participants want to teach what they know about design, co-creation, and development to others when they return home.
If you are an IDIN Network member who is interested in organizing a short training workshop to disseminate your knowledge and teach others in your community, this is an opportunity for you!
In 2016, IDIN continues to explore avenues to scale its approach, including through short design workshop and training modules. We believe these design workshops and training modules have a meaningful impact on communities, while being less time and cost intensive than summits and easily adapted to fit local contexts.
This small grant opportunity supports local teams to conduct one (or a few) short trainings that focus on a certain subset of lessons taught at an IDDS or Creative Capacity Building training (for example, problem framing, prototyping, or user testing). A limited number of grants are available, ranging from $1,000 - $2,000.
Note: Preference will be given to trainings in developing countries.
